Accounts Payable Employee

Description of the role
As an Accounts Payable Employee, you will be responsible for managing the financial obligations of our organization by accurately processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring timely payments of invoices and employee declarations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining positive vendor relationships and contributing to the overall financial health of the company. You make sure all related transactions are accurately reflected in our financial administration.

Since we aim to have an inclusive finance department, you will also be involved in other administrative tasks and projects.

•    Invoice processing;
•    Payment processing;
•    Vendor management;
•    Account reconciliation;
•    Compliance and documentation.


•    High school diploma or equivalent (MBO level); bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred;
•    Language skills that are required are English and one of the following languages: Spanish, Italian or German. Dutch is preferred;
•    Proven experience working in accounts payable or a similar financial role;
•    Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping;
•    Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
•    Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders;
•    Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including understanding of basic financial statements;
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team;
•    Experience with systems like Microsoft Navision 2017, Continia, Payhawk and banking environments (ABN AMRO and Rabobank) is a plus.
