In this beautiful collaboration, Trust and Spotlight by Quantic Dream have created an exclusive headset with their game Under The Waves to fight climate change and support the preservation of the oceans, giving visibility to a sustainability issue that also affects the video game industry.

Under The Waves, released on 28th of August 2023, is the first game published by Spotlight by Quantic Dream, the label founded by Quantic Dream to support the creation and publication of independent projects. Developed by Parallel Studio, this underwater narrative adventure puts players in the suit of Stan, a professional diver struggling to come to terms with personal trauma and a job that threatens to compromise his principles.

Under The Waves has a strong environmental message. The title was developed with the participation of the Surfrider Foundation Europe, an NGO that contributed its knowledge to reinforce the game's mechanics and messages for the preservation of the oceans.

To make this collaboration a reality, Trust has provided one of its latest gaming products, the GXT 489 Fayzo gaming headset, with immersive sound and 50mm speaker units, made with 85% recycled plastics. With Fayzo, players will be able to immerse themselves in the game and enjoy the sound of Under The Waves, one of the most critically acclaimed features, while being eco-friendly at the same time.

This exclusive edition, inspired by Stan's submarine and underwater base, has been modified by renowned Spanish modding artist FutureXP and is not for sale. Fans of Under The Waves and collectors who want to get their hands on one of the few copies available will be able to do so through a competition on Quantic Dream and Trust's @trustgaming Instagram.

Trust is a well-known peripheral brand that stands out for its eco-friendly products. In recent years, the company has introduced many products made with recycled plastics, using minimised and plastic free packaging to minimise its impact on the environment. The Trust's efforts have been rewarded with a Gold rating at Ecovadis 2022, placing the company in the top 2% of the most environmentally friendly companies in the industry.

In the same fashion, Kid Katana Records has carried Parallel Studio’s ecological philosophy beyond the video game medium, with a first-ever video game music soundtrack vinyl entirely plastic-free, based on the BioVinyl process developed by one of the leaders in Europe, Optimal Media, and manufactured in Germany.

Finally, Under The Waves has received several updates since its release, adding accessibility features and a new game mode based on J0, allowing to control the fan-beloved sea lion in a dedicated part of the map. With this last addition, the team wanted to offer to the seal life enthusiasts and virtual photographers a new way of experiencing the world of Under The Waves.
